The Insider’s Guide to Lizzy’s Arrival Nick Pappas started Lizzy’s back in 1995. (one of those eccentric corporate world types). Nick cashed in his chips as a Digital manager and plunged head first into his goal of creating the best ice cream around in a mid-life crisis. What’s more, it worked! Nick’s right side of the brain has concocted some of the most tantalising tastes you’ll ever taste. And because of his meticulous inclinations, only the best ingredients are ever utilised.
All of this results to the best-tasting ice cream sundaes in the world. One word of warning: if you have Lizzy’s cater your Sundae Party, be prepared to get licked.
Nick retired in 2016, and Miriam Benitez, who had worked at Lizzy’s since she was in high school, took over the business. Miriam continues our dedication to the city and to our extended network of guests who visit the store and enjoy our ice cream parties as a long-time member of the Waltham community. Phil Rizzuto purchased the Harvard Square location at the same time. He still runs it as part of the Lizzy’s ice cream empire.
