Helen’s Roast Beef & Pizzeria Menu
Nicolas Kalcanides arrived in the United States with his wife, Irene, and two children, Steven and Helen, in June of 1963. After five years at his hot dog stand, Nicolas established Helen’s Pizza in August 1968, named it after his daughter. The whole family pitched together to keep the pizza afloat. Helen’s Pizza soon gained a reputation for its pleasant, welcoming environment and high-quality pizza for a low price of $0.15 per slice.
Helen’s Pizza was passed down to Nicolas’s son, Steven, in 1985. Steven rebuilt and enlarged the pizza only four years later, providing it a more spacious and comfortable setting as well as a larger menu of entrees, salads, sandwiches, and desserts.
