Edward’s Menu
In 1959 Oral Edwards began his work as assistant manager in the supermarket business in Millington, Tennessee. In 1961, Mr. Edwards went as shop manager to Kennett, Missouri. He was able to be part owner of a new store in 1962. For the third and last time he loaded his family and moved to the city of Forrest, Arkansas. In 1962, there opened a new Liberty Supermarket. It was a little shop by today’s standards, but at that period it was massive. Forrest City, with her children Steve and Susan, was home to Oral and Christine Edwards. There is little doubt that much of the company’s success can be given to a team of committed, award-winning members, many of whom have.
