Denny’s Menu
Denny’s, in 1953 opening Danny’s Donuts in Lakewood, California, was created by Harold Butler and Richard Jezak. Butler updated this concept a year ago, a year after Jezak left the six-store chain, and shifted it from a donut shop to a coffee shop with shop no. 8. In 1953 Harold Butler and Richard Jezakin started Denny’s Restaurant Chain, now nationally founded, and debuted originally as a one-stop doughnut store called Danny’s Donuts in Lakewood. During the next year, the partners built more shops and added sandwiches and other items.
Danny’s first Sambo restaurant began in 1953 with Danny’s Donuts, which was inaugurated in Santa Barbara, California, on June 17, 1957.
