Shin, 54 years of age, is the Korean-American creator of Charleys Philly Steaks. The sandwich company was established 33 years ago inColumbus, Ohio. Charleys Philly Steaks is a Philly cheesesteak shop franchise based in Columbus, Ohio. The business was founded on the Campus of the Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio in 1986 and is currently based there, formerly known as Charley’s Steakery and Charley’s Grilled Subs. By 2017, 45 states and 19 nations had 600 sites.
