Mauro is a passion at the centre of the culinary concept – the outcome will be food beyond expectation. The enthusiasm for preparation. His cooking background and his upbringing in northern Italy have significantly inspired Assaggio, who is headed by Mauro Golmarvi. Opened in 1993, the cuisine shows craftsmanship skills and recipes handed down from age to age. When you walk into Assaggio, it is like you are going to enjoy a meal and an experience in Mauro’s house.Mauro Golmarvi arrived to Seattle in 1993 after success in California, searching for the place he was called to home—to be near to the lake and share his passion of Italian cooking. Assaggio has a genuine flavour of Ancona — a little Adrian coastal hamlet where Mauro resided, and one of the most well-preserved epicurean secrets in Italy.Mauro still believes in the Italian way of sourcing, utilising the best local handcrafted products at the height of its freshness, from individuals he knows about the Puget Sound, to catch tastes that keep its history genuine.
