Family owned Italian restaurant in Cambridge, Massachusetts full of traditional, local and fresh food, great wine and spirits; visit the rustic, contemporary, honest, quiet bar.Opened as a tribute to Amelia, the mother of Chef Delio Susi, in 2001. Chef Delio was schooled by his mother and has continued to appreciate the tiny and comfortable dining room with a passion for cooking and entertaining. Amelia started to cook at an early age and every food she had created was always apparent in her natural skill. Her culinary skills were enhanced by her amazing enthusiasm, and Amelia’s Trattoria continues to live on.Amelia’s Trattoria has long been favoured with academics and professionals from Kendall Square. Ideal for a business lunch and even better suited for a wind down after work or a relaxed supper with a comprehensive bar and a beautifully prepared menue. With its hardwood floor and brick walls, the room has a rustic Italian feel – bright and airy during the day, and warm and comfortable in the evening. The rooms have a pleasant atmosphere. The menu of Amelia’s Tokyo is full of clean, hand-made cuisine, taking use of Abruzzi Roots. Susi’s handcrafted pasta (particularly gnocchi) and meat expertise have become famous (especially braised short ribs).
