In the South End, an Ethiopian eatery has closed. According to a comment from the company owner on their Yelp page, Addis Red Sea (544 Tremont St., Boston) has been open since 1988.
Several tipsters wrote Eater to report the closure, with one mentioning that the facility was being emptied out as recently as last week. Both Yelp and Google list the restaurant as closed, and Eater discovered the space vacant on November 18, with only Trip Advisor and Massachusetts Restaurant Association stickers on the door indicating that a restaurant had ever existed there:
All signage for Addis Red Sea has been removed from the building. The restaurant was advertised for sale as early as 2015, and the listing mentioned its location.
